Sunday Worship and March to Buckingham Palace

The last day of an incredible weekend commenced with worship in the beautiful setting of Westminster Central Hall, where all of the bands had the opportunity to relax and worship together. The duty band on this occasion was the Territorial Youth Band, under the leadership of Stephen Cobb. The International Staff Songsters also contributed to make this a special time of commitment and re-dedication. The inspirational morning message was delivered by the General, Linda Bond.
Following lunch, it was time to proceed to the Mall, for the march of all eight bands to Buckingham Palace. The sight of vast crowds of an estimated fifteen thousand people and two hundred and fifty musicians on the march is a memory that will never be forgotten, and probably an event that will never be repeated.

Following a short program inside the Palace gates, where each bandmaster took a turn in conducting, the bands marched out in turn passing the General and other Army leaders as they saluted each band.

During the evening a reception was held back in Westminster Central Hall, where the bands were able to have one last opportunity to fellowship together, and reflect on such an incredible weekend.
