Sunday provided the band with much needed rest, not calling us to duty until ten o'clock this morning. When we arrived at the corps we began to set up for the morning service that would be broadcast on Jonkoping 's local channel. Preparing to minister in a live setting was something new for almost the entire band and provided a wonderful experience.

The effectiveness of the service was evident toward the end when the local officer read prayer requests that were received via phone during the meeting. Also, a great blessing was provided for the band by the corps songster group which performed "By His Hand," written by our own Major Thomas Mack.

Following this time of worship Gordon Ward, Chris Ward, Mike Baker, Derek Lance, Jeff Barrington, Dorothy Gates, Andrew Garcia, and Aaron VanderWeele all participated in workshops for the festival the band was a part of this weekend, while the rest of us enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Guvernoren restaurant.

After the meal the band prepared for an outdoor concert in the park as part of the festival. During the concert Lars Otto Ljungholm and Ulf Lydahl were invited to conduct two pieces with the band in appreciation for all their hard work on this portion of our tour. After the concert the band was again blessed with much needed rest allowing some members to attend a concert given by the Danish Royal Guard Band, and others to return home with their billets.
